lifesong
Everyone needs compassion
And love that never fails
Let mercy fall on me
When everyone needs forgiveness
Kindness of the Saviour
The Hope of the nation
Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
So take me as you find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again
I give my life to follow
Everything that i believe in
Now i surrender
Shine a light in and
let the whole world see
Singing, for the glory of the risen king
Jesus, Shine a light and
let the whole world see
Singing for the glory of the risen king

Ability- It shall not limit me.Hi my dears (: I want to share with u smthing and i hope it will encourage u and spur u on along the week.
Its been a long time since i touched my "The Purpose Driven Life" book by Rick Warren and so i decided to revisit it. Its really amazing how God speaks to me in new and refreshing way. Just this week during GROW, i shared with u guys on the 1st "A" of serving God- " Ability-It Shall not limit me." and this book begin to reaffirm what i shared with u guys!
As i was reading this book again. I looked out especially on chapter 31 as Grace pointed it out to me during my planning of this Grow. It says clearly "All of our abilities comes from God."
In the bible, it is written
"God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well---Romans 12:6a" and this is 1 truth that we all need to embrace and learn how to accept it. Many people in the kingdom of God use the excuse " i don't think i can or have any abilities to offer" or people may say " i am not good enough for this position", to not serve God.
However, more than u can even realise, there are many abilities in us that are unrecognised, unused and dormant within us. Rick Warren said, "Many studies have revealed that the average person possessed from 500-700 different skills and abilities---far more than u even realise". So I am sure that God has given u atleast 1 ability to put to good use in the kingdom of God.
Now the next issue here is how do you then begin to recognise these unuse and awaken these dormant abilities and skills within you?
#1. Reflect on ur experiences during ministry expression.
- How did felt at the beginning and how did u felt at the end?
- How do you thing God and His people felt?
- Is there any area u can go and extra mile for God and His people?
#2. Attend TEnet and Lifeskill Seminars offered by TCC( this is not an adverstisment)- develop areas of interest maybe the first step in discovering gifts and abilities.
- through these courses there is an awakening of dormant gifts and a delibrate stepping out
of comfort zone for learning to take place.
- training and equipping with skills and abilities to use in times of needs.
*p.s: TEnet and Lifeskill Seminar fees are waived for all Trinitarian, beginning July.
You can now sign up online too.. with just 3 simple steps (:
#3. Gathering feedbacks from peers and leaders (affirmation of gifts and abilities)
- get feedbacks and advise from peers and leaders to affirm gifts and abilities or for area of
improvements (:
So, are there any skills and abilities that God has given you, but u have not put to good use or have not discovered? NOW, this is a time and season of discover and finding out what abilities have God given u that u can put to good use to bless His people and His church, so let awaken these dormant and uncovered abilities and gifts and together as a cell, be a blessings to others in the church and people around us!
Val (:
" God has given each of u some special abilities; be sure to use them to help one another, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings.---1Peter4:10"
